EEI provided construction layout and QA/QC surveying for new speculative industrial buildings at Pullman Crossings, a 50-acre industrial development on Chicago’s South Side. Once a company town, Pullman remains an important landmark in American industrial and labor history. Today, Pullman Crossings is helping revitalize the community by attracting new businesses and investment, while EEI’s surveying services supported the accurate placement of building foundations, structural elements, utilities, pavement, and other site improvements.
Bronzeville Lakefront Redevelopment

The Bronzeville Redevelopment, located on the former Michael Reese Hospital site, is a major mixed-use development on Chicago’s South Side designed to bring new housing, commercial opportunities, infrastructure, and community investment to the historic Bronzeville neighborhood. Since 2022, EEI has provided construction management, resident engineering, and QA/QC services for the project’s right-of-way improvements. Our responsibilities have included overseeing utility installation and street reconstruction, monitoring contractor work, coordinating field activities, documenting progress, and helping ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
Future Mixed-Use Development
Harvey, IL | E&S Development
EEI provided feasibility studies and preliminary engineering services for a proposed mixed-use development in the City of Harvey. Our work included evaluating existing site conditions, utility availability, drainage, access, grading, and potential development constraints to determine the project’s viability. EEI also developed preliminary engineering concepts and coordinated with the city and project team to support planning, permitting, budgeting, and future design.
ComEd 765kV Wilton Center
Substation Expansion

EEI provided environmental compliance services and NPDES reporting for this major expansion, which enabled more than 2,000 megawatts of renewable energy from wind and solar farms to be delivered to homes and businesses.
PsiQuantum Data Center

The 300,000-sf building will house a quantum operations center on Chicago's South Side, marking the first phase of development on the 128-acre site.
Project “O” Block Street Reconstruction
Harwood Heights, IL | CBBEL
EEI provided resident engineering and construction observation for the Village of Harwood Heights’ “O Streets” Reconstruction Project. We coordinated contractors and utilities, maintained resident and traffic access, documented daily activities and quantities, and verified that sewer improvements, roadway reconstruction, curbs, sidewalks, driveway aprons, paving, and restoration complied with the plans and specifications. We also coordinated testing and inspections, reviewed pay applications, prepared progress reports and punch lists, and supported final restoration and project closeout.
